Public health officials say Wisconsin’s average death toll over the last seven days is 53, two months ago that average was five-per-day.
Hospitals statewide have been at about 90-to-92-percent full for several weeks.
Medical College of Wisconsin President John Raymond told those attending a Milwaukee Press Club event Tuesday that hospitals run best when they are at 75-to-85-percent of capacity.
Tuesday’s 104 deaths set yet another record for the state.
