For the second day in a row, the Manitowoc County Health Department has reported a death linked to COVID-19.
This latest fatality raises the death toll up to 49. The individual was from Manitowoc and was over the age of 86.
Also, both the number of people hospitalized and the number of ICU beds in use in the 10 Northeast Wisconsin hospitals rose by one point to 114, and 82% respectively.
There were also 49 new cases reported yesterday, alongside 71 recoveries. This brings the pandemic totals up to 5,651 cases, 1,461 of which remain active, and 4,141 people have recovered.
Meanwhile, the Sheboygan County Division of Public Health added 99 new cases to their count. That coupled with 135 recoveries, leaves their totals at 10,577 cases, 1,421 of which remain active, and 9,073 people fully recovered.
They did not report any deaths, so that number stands steady at 83.
