Elaine D. Schuetze, age 96, a resident of Manitowoc, entered eternal life on Thursday, December 24, 2020 at The Court at Felician Village in Manitowoc.
Elaine was born on October 17, 1924 in Two Rivers. She was the daughter of the late John and Emma Funk Schuetze. Elaine was a graduate of Washington High School in Two Rivers. She was employed for many years at the Manitowoc County Assessors Office from where she retired. Elaine was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church and the Mayor’s Citizen Advisory Commission where she served as the secretary. Elaine volunteered at the Wisconsin Maritime Museum and was an active member in the Civil Air Patrol.
She is survived by three grandchildren, Paul Schuetze and Joe Schuetze, both of Manitowoc, Angie (Patrick) Katchak, Louisville, Kentucky; six great grandchildren, Jonathon, Logan, Angel, Corbin, Samantha, and George; three great great grandchildren, Wesley, Kimber, and Aubrey; daughter-in-law, Mary Schuetze, Manitowoc; nieces, nephews, along with other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Emma Schuetze; two sons, Wayne and Bill Schuetze; daughter-in-law, Kris Schuetze; two grandsons, Daniel in infancy and Chaplain, Captain United States Air Force John Schuetze; and a significant friend Ogden Hamachek.
A Life Celebration Social will be held on Wednesday, January 13, 2021 from 3 p.m. until 5 p.m. at the Harrigan Parkside Gathering Center, 620 North Water Street, Manitowoc located on the south property of the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home. A prayer service will be held at 4:30 p.m. followed by shared memories with family and friends. Cremation has taken place at the Harrigan Parkside Crematory and Chapel with burial of the cremated remains to be placed at Calvary Cemetery in Manitowoc.
