Maryland snapped the Wisconsin Badgers’ 15-game homecourt winning streak with a 70-64 decision inside the Kohl Center Monday night.
D’Mitrik Trice hit a three-pointer with less than two minutes to go to cut the deficit to one point, 60-59, but the Badgers (8-and-2, 2-and-1 Big Ten) couldn’t get over the hump.
Trice was Wisconsin’s top scorer with 25 points on a night the home team couldn’t muster much offense.
Maryland also ended its two-game losing streak in Big Ten Conference contests.
Wisconsin had just been ranked number-six in the Top-25 A-P Poll released Monday.
The team returns to action Thursday when Minnesota visits.
