After two days of low numbers of new COVID-19 cases, Manitowoc County has seen a slight jump in the number of new cases.
35 new cases were reported by the Health Department, raising the pandemic total up to 6,006. 43 people were also added to the recovered column, which brings that total up to 4,874 and leaves 1,081 people still actively battling the virus.
The number of people hospitalized in the Northeast Region of hospitals rose by one to an even 100, while 77 percent of all ICU beds remain in use.
Meanwhile, the Sheboygan County Division of Public Health reported an additional 73 new cases on Wednesday, alongside 96 recoveries. This brings their pandemic totals up to 11,270 cases, 10,178 recoveries, and 999 people still battling the virus.
There were no new deaths reported, leaving that total at 93, with one of them between 10 and 19 years old, 2 in the 30-49-year-old age group, 5 aged 50-59, 14 between 60 and 69 years old, 23 between 70 and 79, and the remaining 44 aged 80 years or older.
