The unbeaten Wisconsin football team is getting big contributions from its seniors, which coach Paul Chryst says is a must. Chryst says former coach and current athletic director Barry Alvarez used to talk about the importance of having seniors play their best football — and they’ll put it on display one final time Saturday when the 10-0 Badgers play their home season finale against 8-2 Michigan. Senior linebacker Leon Jacobs played his team record 55th game last Saturday in the U-W’s home win against Iowa when he picked up one fumble for a touchdown and recovered another. Senior linebacker Garret Dooley leads the Badgers in sacks with six and a half, end Alec James is close behind with five and a half sacks, corner Natrell Jameson has a Pick Six, one other interception, and eight pass breakups — and Joe Ferguson has four picks in his final year.
