Retired N-B-A star Kevin Garnett makes his first appearance of the season at a Milwaukee Bucks’ practice. Coach Jason Kidd had the 41-year-old champion center stop by several times last year to encourage Bucks’ players. On Tuesday, Garnett told center Thon Maker to slow down and read the defense better. He also gave workouts to Bucks’ scorers Giannis Antetokounmpo and Khris Middleton — and Garnett prepared for the visit by watching film of Milwaukee’s performances so far. The Bucks are 7-6 after winning their third straight game Monday night against Memphis — and Milwaukee hosts the Detroit Pistons tonight (Wednesday).
