Packers Bring Back Long Snapper Goode

Veteran long snapper Brett Goode has rejoined the Green Bay Packers, and reports say he’s healthy and can play Sunday against Baltimore at Lambeau Field. Goode signed a new contract Tuesday after he was cut following Week Three with an injury settlement resulting from a hurt hamstring. Goode is normally a reliable snapper for kicker Mason Crosby — who had a bad snap blocked on a field goal attempt last week against Detroit, and Crosby missed a field goal last Sunday at Chicago when holder Justin Vogel dropped the snap. Both those snaps came from replacement Derek Hart, who was cut Tuesday. Goode’s injury settlement that allowed him to return to the Packers in seven weeks if nobody else picked him up.
