The newest food pantry in Manitowoc recently received a generous donation from the newest grocery store in the city.
Meijer donated $2,500 to Grow it Forward to help them continue to help feed the Clipper City. This donation is part of a total $10,000 donation the store has given over the past year to food pantries.
Grow it Forward has brought over 2 million pounds of food to the Clipper City since March of last year, to help a total of 160 families make it through the pandemic.
The donation from Meijer will provide these families with quality, fresh produce, deli, meat, and bakery items that food pantries have had more difficulty getting through their normal donation process during this time.
