William “Bill” J. Bratz, Sr. “Sonny”, age 76, a Reedsville resident, passed away Friday, February 12, 2021 at his residence.
He was born January 23, 1945, son of the late Emil and Lillian (Sebo) Bratz. Bill graduated from Valders High School and later attended Lakeshore Technical College, receiving a degree in maintenance. He served in the United States Navy. Bill was employed with Brillion Iron Works for 24 years and held various other jobs throughout his career. He was a member of the Ant Hill Mob Motorcycle Club, Mid-Lakes Rustic Iron, and AMVETS Post 1032 of Reedsville. Bill enjoyed going to auctions and buying and selling antiques. He also loved to ride his motorcycle.
Survivors include his three children: Mitch (Kathy) Bratz, Bill Bratz, Jr. (special friend Kathy Korb), and Amy Bratz; five grandchildren: Justin and Jordan Bratz, Joshuah Schramm, and Tyah (Tia) and Tashah Bratz; and three sisters and one brother-in-law: Lila Horneck, Junell & Douglas Klatt (Clat), and Janean Bratz. He was preceded in death by his parents: Emil and Lillian Bratz; one sister: Audrey Bratz; two brothers: David and Gary Bratz; and one brother-in-law: Roger Horneck.
Funeral services will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 20, 2021 at Faith Lutheran Church, 255 Roosevelt Street, Valders. Officiating at the service will be the Rev. Jim Wilson. Military honors will be accorded by AMVETS Post 1032 of Reedsville. William will be laid to rest at Valders West Cemetery.
The family will greet relatives and friends from 1:00 p.m. until 3:45 p.m. on Saturday, February 20, 2021 at Faith Lutheran Church, Valders.
