The Green Bay Packers commit five turnovers in their 23-0 loss to Baltimore Sunday at Lambeau Field — eleven years to the day that the Packers were last shut out at home, 35-0 to New England. Coach Mike McCarthy says Brett Hundley remains his quarterback, despite three interceptions and a fumble he lost — and running back Devante Mays committed the other turnover with a lost fumble. Hundley threw for 239 yards, and Davante Adams caught eight passes for 126 yards as Jamaal Williams ran 57 yards for Green Bay — while Ravens’ quarterback Joe Flacco threw for 183 yards with one touchdown and one pick. The Packers had more total yards, 265-219, but it was the Ravens who improved to 5-5 with their third shutout of the year — while the Pack dropped to 5-5 in losing four of five. Three Packers left early with injuries — linebacker Clay Matthews had a bad groin, defensive lineman Kenny Clark was carted off with an injured ankle, and right tackle Justin McCray hurt a knee.
The Minnesota Vikings now have a two game lead on Detroit and three games on Green Bay in the N-F-C North Division. The Vikes are 8-2 with six straight victories after beating the Los Angeles Rams, 24-7 in Minneapolis — and the Lions edged the Bears in Chicago, 27-24. Latavius Murray ran for two touchdowns as the Vikings put a clamp on the N-F-L’s top scoring offense. In the Lions’ victory, Matt Prater kicked a 52 yard field goal with 95 seconds left as Detroit moved into sole possession of second in the North at 6-4, one game ahead of Green Bay and three up on the last place Bears.
