The Wisconsin men’s basketball team loses a second straight game to a ranked opponent, 70-65 to Number 22 Baylor at the Hall of Fame Classic in Kansas City. The Badgers trailed by as many as 19 points in the second half before the U-W got to within two and no further. Ethan Happ had 23 points and 13 rebounds as Wisconsin dropped to 2-2 and will play U-C-L-A in a consolation game at K-C tonight (Tuesday). In Hawaii, the Marquette men won their opening game at the Maui Invitational, defeating V-C-U 94-83 as Markus Howard scored 22 — and the Golden Eagles improved to 2-1 with a contest today (Tuesday) against sixth ranked Wichita State. And the U-W Green Bay men lost at Mississippi State, 77-68 as the Phoenix shot 39-percent in falling to 1-2.
