Alumni Weekend at Manitowoc Lincoln

The Manitowoc Lincoln Athletic Department will be hosting a busy weekend of basketball related events this Friday and Saturday at JKF Fieldhouse. It’s Alumni Weekend as the Ships host port cities rival, Two Rivers in what’s being called the War-on-the-Shore Basketball Tournament. Activities actually begin Friday night at about 6:15 PM, when 24 former Lincoln athletes will play in the second annual alumni game. Then Saturday the current Ships and Raiders teams will compete in five basketball games. A JV 2 boys basketball battle tips off at 1:00, followed by the JV boys at 2:30, the JV Girls at 4:00, Varsity girls at 5:30, and Varsity boys at around 7:00. The Lincoln High School Wall of Fame will be honoring Sally Hyde and Lauren Lucas Saturday night, with a presentation during halftime of the girls game. An alumni  ceremony is also planned at halftime of the varsity boys game. At least 9 members of the ships 1968 State Championship Team, along with Coach Ed Fleener are expected to return to the Fieldhouse.
