It was a rather moderate day yesterday (March 30th) on the COVID-19 front in Manitowoc County.
There were 9 new cases of the virus reported by the Manitowoc County Health Department, raising the pandemic total to 7,356, while 4 more people were admitted to area hospitals for treatment.
The death toll did not change, however, remaining stagnant at 68.
On the vaccination front, only 404 new shots were administered yesterday, with 162 of those going into the arms of first-time patients. This brings the total number of shots administered up to 38,159, with 23,973 being first dose shots.
Roughly 30.4% of the County has been vaccinated, with over 70% of those 65 and older receiving a shot.
In Sheboygan, it was much of the same, as 7 new cases were reported by the Division of Public Health, alongside 9 recoveries. This brings their pandemic totals up to 13,243 confirmed cases, 12,962 recoveries, and leaves 148 cases still active.
In some good news, they also did not report any new deaths, leaving the death toll at 133.
