The US Army Corps of Engineers has closed to gates on the Neenah dam because water levels on Lake Winnebago are low.
The Corps says they’re not down to record-setting low levels. Local officials are hoping with a little more rain, the water levels will start to rise again. The Corps is expecting the lake to hit its target levels of two-and-a-half feet by May 1st, then gradually increase to three feet by June 15th.
A meeting on the regulation of Lake Winnebago water levels will be held Thursday.
