Madison golfing pro Steve Stricker doesn’t own a home in Naples, Florida anymore, but he owns the title of the P-G-A Tour Champions’ Cub Classic. T
his year’s U-S Ryder Cup captain made birdie on the par-four 16th hole to take his sixth victory on the Champions Tour Sunday.
He’s made 29 starts on that tour, but he also plays the regular tour at 54 years of age.
Stricker’s wife, Nicki, served as his caddie while he won the tournament with a $1.6 million pursue played at the Tiburon Golf Club in Naples.
