Over the last two days, the number of COVID-19 vaccinations administered in Manitowoc County has been significantly lower than they had been.
Only 170 new shots were given yesterday, with 42 of those being first dose shots.
This trend is one that is following the statewide numbers, as roughly 30,000 shots were administered throughout Wisconsin yesterday. That number was triple that in the April 8th report, a date where Manitowoc County administered 1,829 doses.
In total 52,849 shots have been given in the County, with 31,221 of those being first doses.
Also, seven new cases were reported by the Health Department, which brings the pandemic total up to 7,430 confirmed cases.
There is also some good news, as the number of patients seeking treatment in area hospitals fell by five, now sitting at 23.
There were no new deaths reported, leaving the death toll at 69.
Meanwhile, in Sheboygan, the Division of Public Health reported that 18 more people tested positive yesterday, while the same number of people recovered. This leaves the pandemic totals at 13,575 confirmed cases, 13,274 recoveries, and 166 cases remain active.
They also did not report any deaths, leaving their death toll at 135.
