One month and one day ago the Wisconsin women’s hockey team won an N-C-A-A national championship. Now, the Badgers women’s volleyball team is just two matches away from a similar accomplishment.
After surviving the biggest challenge of the year, Wisconsin is set to meet Texas in the semifinals Thursday (April 22nd) at 8:30 p-m. The match will be televised on E-S-P-N.
Florida really pushed the Badgers in Monday’s nail-biter, extending the undefeated Wisconsin team to five sets for the first time all season.
There were 31 ties and 17 lead changes.
The Texas Longhorns are the tournament’s number-four seed, while the Badgers are seeded number-one.
